Hello, and welcome
I’m Seema Dagha, a Counseling Psychologist and Trauma-Informed Psychotherapist. I have been working in the mental health field since 2004, and over the years, therapy has become much more than a profession for me-it has been a continuing journey of learning, unlearning, growing and understanding what it means to be human.
Personally, I inhabit many roles-from being a daughter and a mother to being a friend, learner and fellow traveler through life. Professionally, I bring this human experience alongside my training, clinical work and continuing education into the therapy room.
I believe that therapy is not about being “fixed” or being told how to live. It is about creating a safe, respectful space where we can slow down, become curious about what is happening within us, understand our patterns and, at our own pace, move towards greater choice, connection and healing.
My Approach to Therapy
My clinical home is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), with Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) as an important foundation for understanding trauma and the way experiences can become stuck.
Over the years, I have integrated different therapeutic approaches depending on the individual needs of the person I am working with.
My training and clinical learning include:
EMDR-Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, ISP-Integrated Somatic Psychology, DARe-Dynamic Attachment Re-patterning Experience, IFS-Internal Family Systems informed work, Mindfulness-Based approaches, Basics of Somatic Experiencing (SE), Play Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Emotional Freedom Technique & Emotion Focussed Therapy (EFT)
I also continue to deepen my understanding of trauma, attachment, dissociation, the nervous system and mind-body approaches through workshops, study circles, webinars, professional reading, training programs and assisting with trainings.
Rather than following one approach rigidly, I believe in bringing together the appropriate therapeutic lens for the person, their history, their needs and the pace at which they are ready to work.
Areas I Work With
I work with adults and young people experiencing a range of emotional and psychological concerns, including: Trauma & Abuse, (Traumatic experiences, childhood experiences, interpersonal trauma and the emotional impact of abuse), Anxiety & Panic (Anxiety, panic attacks, excessive worry, fear and difficulties with feeling safe or settled), Phobias (Specific fears and phobias that interfere with everyday life). Dissociation (Experiences of disconnection, emotional numbing, feeling detached or overwhelmed by internal experiences), Depression & Low Mood (Persistent sadness, emptiness, loss of motivation, hopelessness and difficulties reconnecting with oneself), Attachment & Relationship Concerns (Patterns in relationships, difficulties with trust, boundaries, connection, separation and emotional safety)
The work is always individualised. Two people may come with a similar concern and yet need very different therapeutic journeys.

What I Believe About Therapy
I believe that, in the circumstances available to us at any given point, we are often doing the best we can, with the awareness and resources we have at that moment.
This does not mean that our ways of coping cannot change.
Therapy can help us understand where our patterns came from, develop greater awareness of what is happening within us, process experiences that continue to affect the present, build emotional resources and create healthier ways of responding.
I also believe that working on oneself is an act of courage.
Whether someone chooses individual therapy, group work, personal growth or simply begins by exploring what support is available, taking that first step towards oneself calls for profound courage & deserves immense respect.
Healthy boundaries, self-compassion, curiosity and the willingness to look within are important parts of this journey.
And I continue to believe that the sky is not the limit when we remain open to learning, healing and growth.
A Note Before You Begin
You do not have to have everything figured out before beginning therapy.
You do not need to know exactly what is “wrong” or which therapy you need.
Sometimes, the first step is simply recognising:
“Something in me needs attention.”
We can begin there.
My intention is to offer a space that is safe, respectful, compassionate and curious - where there is room for all the different parts of your experience, without judgement or the pressure to change before you are ready.
As you embark on this journey within, and towards yourself, I wish you:
Self-Compassion, Courage, Curiosity, and the space to grow into who you are becoming.
